It hurts to set you free

This is the end

- The Doors, The End

I'm sorry to report that Mattingly Brewing Company has closed its doors, the sting is made all the worse after my last post. I have the tragic duty of both informing our loyal followers and mothballing the equimpent in the hopes that it can find a productive second life in the service of some other brewrey, winery, cidery or meadery.
The fate of the beer in the cellar is currently unknown. I encourage the fans of the beers at Mattingly Brewing Company to seek out the beers I have brewed for Schlafly. Two are available at the Bottleworks at the moment, Burn Ward Wheat on draft and the Culinaria Holiday Ale in bottles (the Old Ale my wife and I made to celebrate our wedding).
What is next? Nobody is sure just yet...

Say it ain't so! I found Mattingly's last October and made it my Monday night home every Monday I could. I think I even had a 6 month consecutive streak. No other beer tastes as good. Don't know where to go now? The worst part is that I didn't get to say goodbye in a proper way. I should have been there to close it down on the last night with a black sky in hand. Drew thanks for all the outstanding beer. Dan thanks for serving it time after time and for all the good conversations.

Maybe now you'll have time to do something about 2511 Minnesota? I am the block captain for the area and the house is an eyesore.

Wow does that suck... I just discovered Mattingly on Father's Day night (I travel to St. Louis fairly regularly) and was absolutely blown away by the beer. I had an early meeting the next morning so I couldn't try a pint of everything, but the server was nice enough to bring out a sample of everything I didn't already have a full pint of. I was excited that I had found another destination to add to my St. Louis regulars (Schlafly, Square One and Six Row). Hope you land on your feet and keep brewing!
